H. G. Wells

Herbert George Wells (September 21, 1866 - August 13, 1946) was a British writer best known for his science fiction novels including The War of the Worlds and The Time Machine. He wrote both fiction and non-fiction including contemporary novels, history, and social commentary. He was also an outspoken socialist.
